Welcome

At Central Lancaster High School we offer BTEC Photography Level 2 and 3 with pupils from Years 10, 11 and the school's new 6th Form.
The assignments for the course have been written by the subject teacher and professional photographer Darren Andrews. Darren also assists in delivering the course. His input is invaluable and ensures that the students have an insight into the professional and creative industry of photography.
As well as shooting digital we have a fully equipped black and white film darkroom.
The students have explored light exposure techniques in the darkroom, creating photograms using a range of transparent and opaque objects.
Our superb facilities and resources in the school have allowed the students access to Photoshop and fast processors to manipulate their photographs to either slightly enhance them or significantly alter them using pasting techniques and filters.

We hope that you enjoy looking at their work. If you would like to know more about the course or the school, please do not hesitate to contact me.
